The chief prosecutor calls for compliance with the ban on the dissemination of hate speech of Sheikh Hasina
The Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal Mohammad Tajul Islam once again called upon the media not to publish Sheikh Hasina's hate speech. He made this call to reporters on Wednesday.
He said, "We see Sheikh Hasina giving hate speech in India." Threatening in various ways. Intimidation of witnesses. He is doing all this to obstruct the justice process.
Tajul Islam said, "There is already an order of the tribunal not to promote Sheikh Hasina's hate speech. Despite this, I see that some media are promoting Sheikh Hasina's hate speech. We request not to promote his hate speech. If such statements of Sheikh Hasina affecting or obstructing the trial of the tribunal continue to be circulated, then we will think of taking action in this regard," he said.
Earlier, on December 5, the International Criminal Tribunal banned the publication of all kinds of (written, audio-video) statements of hatred, hatred and incitement (hate speech) of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. At the same time, it has been ordered to remove his publicized statements and statements from all types of media including social media and mass media. The court ordered the Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Secretary of the Information and Communication Technology Department of the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) to implement this order immediately. The International Criminal Tribunal, headed by Chairman Justice Ghulam Mortuza Majumdar, passed the order on the prosecution's plea.
